Employer Advisory Group

The Employer Advisory Group (EAG) was founded by McLaughlin & Smoak in an effort to create a professional “best of the best” resource  group that focuses on service and education for the Business Owner / Officer / HR  Director.  Because of the EAG members excellent performance, we are often asked by customers if we know others that can bring the same high level of competence  in other areas of need. Rather than responding by way of saying we do not offer the “other service”, we built the EAG and refer within knowing that the customer will benefit in the same manner of excellence.

The EAG voluntarily meets once a month to ensure education of each member is maintained so we can continue with our mission and commitment of excellence to the customer. Services from the EAG range from employee benefits, business banking, employment & labor law, CPA, financial/401K consulting and much more – all of which are noted in the left margin of this website homepage. This literal suite of services provides a solution that can easily be accessed and provides a “one-stop-shop” of professionals.  EAG members do not revenue/compensation share in any manner in order to maintain integrity of simply providing the best resource value available to our customer relationships and not have money become part of the decision making process.

There is a monthly educational seminar offered called the inFORUM, that focuses on information and education in critical performance areas for a business, that is available to Greater Charleston businesses at no charge. The meeting is held the 3^rd Thursday of each month at the Harbor Club from 8am – 9:30am. Previous inFORUM presentations can be found at the website of McLaughlin & Smoak ( www.mclaughlinsmoak.com).
